The systems for automatic screwdriving Pick & Place are designed for applications in which air-blowing systems are not available possible, they ensure maximum operational flexibility in confined spaces.
The operation of Pick&Place systems is based on a controlled sequence of operations. The screw is first positioned in a specific location, then picked up by the module, transferred and finally placed at the fastening point, where it is tightened.
Compared to blow-moulding systems, the process is slightly slower, but offers a level of flexibility significantly greater. It is possible to handle screws with geometries of a complex nature, work in the presence of interference or accessing points for screwing that are difficult, such as recessed mounting points or areas with limited space.
This technology also allows for very precise control over screw positioning, reducing the risk of errors and improving the overall quality of the process.
In summary, whilst blow moulding is the optimal solution for high-speed standard production runs, pick-and-place becomes the obvious choice when geometric complexities, space constraints or flexibility requirements come into play.
Every application is different. And precisely for this reason there are no “standard” when we talk about automatic screwdriving.
Screw type, available space, accessibility, required productivity: every module, feeder and accessory is combined to create a truly effective solution.
